Hopefully I can get a new picture this weekend when we celebrate our Mom's birthday on Saturday. I am finally starting to get excited! I mean I have been so happy the whole way thru this but this morning when I stepped on the scale I got butterflies in my stomach when I saw the numbers appear. I dont know why it's exciting now because who wouldnt be excited to have already lost over 100 +lbs in the last year. With the weight I had to loose to have the surgury from when I started the program in May 2007 till I had the surgury in March 2008 I have basically lost a whole normal size teenager already between May 2007 and now.
I think this calls for me to finally start the Weight loss scrapbooking album I wanted to do unless I can convince anyone else to do the scrapbook for me it would be cool to see this process thru someone else's eyes than my own since we are all harder on ourselves then others would be. Anyone insterested ???? :)

It's been a busy summer and it doesnt seem to be slowing down. It will probably not slow down till January next year now. This time of the year is my favorite because of all the holidays. I am already planing for Halloween and the holidays and I bought my first Christmas present this week!! I have so many scrapbooking things going on too. Going to the river at the end of the month again too.
I am still doing physical therapy every week from my car accident. They havent release me or approved me to do any exercise yet. The weight loss is low because I cant exercise but atleast I am still loosing every week. I might just start exercising anyways to speed things up a bit. I have a goal to make by December.
This week I had to go buy new clothes. I could not put it off any longer. I had some of my out of town technicans over dinner on there last night in town so they could have some home cooking instead of eating out again. They were sitting in the kitchen and I came around the corner to go into the kitchen and my pants hit the floor. Luckily I was behind the bar and they couldnt see anything but me laughlin my butt off. I have waited and waited and bought only a few things during this whole process maybe 5 items but this week I spent 2 days shopping and buying new clothes I bought mostly bottoms and few tops. I cleaned out my closet and got rid of so much clothes that did not fit. I had 5x,4x,34,32 and 30's they are all going to a new home. I am currently in 26/28 and thats still a little loose; I kept a few 30-32 tops because some of them shrunk in washing and I can still wear them until they look frumpy on me. No more baggy clothes me anymore there all going to the trash.
I am 70lbs down post op

I didnt check in last week, last week was a bad week for me. On Monday I was going to lunch to meet Debbie down the street and was hit by a car who was running a red light. It threw me into on going traffic across the street. Both air bags deployed and I was trying to get out of the car because of the bags, I couldnt breath from the smoke of the airbags.. I was beat up pretty good. I hit my head on the rear view mirror pretty hard and a huge lump on my head and swelling. Some how I hurt my foot too. Of course I was mess crying, hyperventalating and in pain. Luckily Debbie was only a few seconds away from the crash site and was there in no time and Dad was in the area working so he was able to get there fast too. I was taken by ambulance to the emergency room and they didnt do anything to me. No one was happy with the hospital because they did not do anything even though. Mom showed up at the hospital and so did Chris. They released me and we went straight to Kaiser. Kaiser couldnt believe the released me with out doing anything with the size of the bump and swelling I had. The next couple of days everything from under the sun was hurting and I could barely walk about 2 days after the bruises started showing up and they are some nasty bruises black and purple.
The good news is I am down 50 lbs now and although I have a bump on my head, swelling and my heal is injured I am alive and it could of been worse for me. However my car did not do as good as I did its been totaled. Chris never got to see the car and has only seen pictures.
We also had the Relay for Life walk this weekend however I was not able to walk.

As of last week 5/16/08 I am now down 35 lbs! I have finally added exercise into the picture! Last week I started with walking on my treadmill. I am doing 1 mile in 30 minutes! I would have never of done that before, I was lucky to do 10 min before my body started to hurt but with my weight lost from last year and what I have lost this year so far has made a hugh impact on my ability to exercise! For some unknown reason I signed up to captain a relay for life team , which means a whole lotta walking in 24 hours on June 14th/15th. So I am gearing up for that walk one day at a time! I want to try and be able to walk my share of the time hopefully I won't have to pay, beg or barter with any children or adults to walk for me! I will be adding a new picture of me soon.

I have made it thru 1 month!!!! WOO WHOOOO!!
4/15/08 & 4/21/08 I had my 1 month check up with the surgeon and my 1 month check up with my preventative maintenance doctor from Kaiser. I have not gained/loss any more weight. Both doctors think that it is because of the last hospital visit and what my body has just went thru that it is just trying to catch up with itself. They both say I am not eating enough and I still need to drink MORE WATER MORE WATER!! Good thing I have been keeping a food journal. I was barely getting 2-3 small meals in and they want me to have 6 meals a day. All my lab work is good. My kidneys are now back at 100% function and no damages. To keep it that way with MORE WATER MORE WATER!!
I am now aloud to eat everything but pork, beef and grapes. I am also aloud to start exercising now.
I was released from the hospital and sent home. My blood pressure is finally stable at 129/59. The doctors found that the kidney failure was due to SEVERE DEHYDRATION. The blood pressure being so dangerously low is because I had been taking 3 blood pressure medications that I did not need to take any more because of the weight I have already lost from last year and this year. The surgeon had pulled me off of one of the pills because it was a water pill and did not realize that one of the other pills was a combo pill and had a water pill in it too and that played a part in the dehydration along with MYSELF not eating or drinking enough. Basically I was not following the doctors orders. The doctors at the hospital took me off of all my blood pressure medication. I no longer take any medication.
The only medical problem that I had besides being overweight was high blood pressure that no longer exits.
On Easter weekend I was not feeling very well. My body was just telling me that something was wrong. I was dizzy, lightheaded and seeing spots. When I went to bed on Easter Sunday and closed my eyes I was still seeing the spots. I knew something was really wrong. Monday morning I called the surgeons office and they told me to go the doctor and get a blood pressure check. I went in for a nurse's visit they took my blood pressure and it was 32/17 they sent me the urgent care. Urgent care took my blood pressure and wheeled me in a wheelchair to the Emergency Room. My blood pressure was really bad and they couldnt even get any blood or an IV started on me. Blood was not even coming out when the pulled the needles out of my arm. Finally a RN and a Paramedic were able to get some blood from me by having the nurse massage the upper part of my arm while the paramedic inserted the need the get the vien. There were able to get a few bottles of blood and then start the IV. The emergency room doctor came in and told us I was in kidney failure and that I would not be going home anytime soon.
I landed myself right back in the hospital for a not so nice visit.

I had my one week follow up with the Dr. and I lost 25 lbs from the day of the surgery. I get to add food to my liquid diet now. Since surgery I have only been aloud to have clear liquids, broths, sugar free popsicles, jello (which has no reason to be on this earth), sugar free drinks. One ounce every 15 minutes. The smell of food was making me sick to my stomach because it smelled so good I was overdosing on the smell. Everyone ate alot of sandwiches and things that did not smell.
As of today I get to add the following to the liquid diet mashed potatos, gravey, cottage cheese, any kind of cheese, yogurt, pudding, tuna and any kind of white fish and scrambled egg. I was in heaven now.
